Not seen this classic American period drama, starring Julianne Moore, Dennis Quaid, Dennis Haysbert, and Patricia Clarkson? Don’t worry – all you need to know is its colour palette.

1950s suburban housewife, Cathy absolutely cleans up style-wise, wearing enough reds, oranges and browns to compete with the movie’s backdrop of changing trees. For a similar effect, try to out-Autumn Autumn by wearing all its hues.

We’re talking cardigans, slip skirts and sweater vests – all cosy and highly wearable as you transition from Summer to Autumn, or from good to bad witch this season.

Of course, no Autumn movie list is complete without the 80s American rom-com, When Harry Met Sally. And no wardrobe could be complete without Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal’s impressive set of knitwear.
